Os periódicos informação & sociedade: estudos e BIBLIONLINE como fonte de informação para os alunos do curso de Biblioteconomia da UFPB

Investigates the use of scientific Information & Society: Studies and Biblionline by the students form Biblioteconomia’s Ferderal University of Paraíba Course with information source. Within the theoretical foundation concepts related to information and communication are presented, emphasizing the scientific journals and going along its appearance and evolution. It argues the scientific production, flow and information sources. As an instrument of research a questionnaire with open and closed answers were applied to undergraduate and graduating students of the Biblioteconomia course period 2013.2 and a semi-structured interview with active and former editors of the researched journals. It characterizes as an exploratory and descriptive research, having a qualitative and quantitative approach that adopted the analysis of having a data exportation categorization. It is concluded over Information & Society journal knowledge: Studies and Biblionline can be considered as meaningful among students, however, they need to be incentivated to use scientific journals as a research source for the academic studies.
