The work brings with it a theoretical analysis on the topic and points out how important for organizations to have an electronic management system documents (GED). Focuses on Information Technology and files. Points out that these documents in electronic management systems are influenced by the scope of creating, storing and accessing archival documents for test purposes and besides these days these electronic systems are present in institutions to meet the business needs, supporting business and bring internal benefits for the institution, in short, the GED is intended to facilitate the flow of information and knowledge in organizations. In short it is a meeting of some technologies and products that require managing information electronically. It is a case study, which uses a questionnaire as a tool applied with employees who use Laserfiche program. The results show that the program satisfactorily meet its users. However, it noted that the use of this tool does not eliminate the handling of traditional media, which are the roles, but to offer possibilities for the use of documentary information. The GED requires specific software programs, as well as the use of hardware such as a scanner for the record and therefore is the union of new technological resources.
