They represent 99% of all existing companies in Brazil and responsible for 20% of gross domestic product (PIB). Given the importance of these businesses to the economy, accounting information is of great value to the decision-making process by providing information about the financial and economic life of the institution, to provide managers to make the best decision for your companies, so this work has emerged with the main objective to analyze the contribution of micro and small enterprises in the municipality of Pilar - PB. For this, the methodology used to how through research, it was a bibliographical study and a field study. As to the objectives was characterized as descriptive, whose method of approach, represented both qualitative and quantitative. In order to measure this analysis, statistical tests were performed.
