O uso pedagógico da imagem como organizador prévio no processo de alfabetização de adultos

This study aims to understand how the use of the image occurs as mediation training in literacy for youth and adults, through the perspective of the Theory of Meaningful Learning. The advance organizers are pedagogical mechanisms that are helpful in the process of teaching-learning, establishing a connection between what the student already knows and what he needs to learn. We believe that the image, as advance organizer in the education process, supports the Meaningful Learning. In order to do so, I have resorted to the Theory of Meaningful Learning proposed by David Ausubel, since its main principium is the organization of the teaching process starting by the previous knowledge of the student. As a conclusion, we present the report of the experience made in a class of youth and adult education, using the image as advance organizer, with a deductive method.
