In this sense, the paper discusses how some theoretical point us his views on art education as an integrated subject in the school curriculum context. Arises, therefore, the issue of building the identity of the student, based on his artistic production in the classroom and in their world views, their experiences in their midst. To illustrate the above issues have an experience report on the trainee condition at the School of Basic Education UFPB, which shows us the importance of practice as research for teacher education in the school context.
