Violência contra mulheres: visão da/os estudantes de Biblioteconomia

Presents the view of the Library Sciences course's students from Federal University of Paraiba on violence against women. Methodologically, the research is descriptive and has quantitative and qualitative approach. Afterwards, more data is collected through a questionnaire with 29 questions for students in the 8th, 9th and 10th semesters of the course. The description and analysis of the referred data were boosted by the method of content analysis, setting categories in order to measure the student's knowledge. Here it is in evidence the necessity of approaching and fostering discussions concerning the analytical categories of gender relations and violence against women within the undergraduate course of Library Sciences, with the aim of spreading knowledge and information throughout the student body, besides of giving them the possibility to act out on the social responsibility perspective as mediators of information towards confronting and preventing violence against women.
