Perfil empreendedor dos discentes de Ciências Contábeis: um estudo envolvendo ingressantes e concluintes da Universidade Federal da Paraíba

The purpose of this study is to compare the entrepreneurial profile of the incoming students and the final students of the course of Accounting Sciences of the Federal University of Paraíba, Campus I. In the research, a descriptive methodology was applied, with a quantitative approach. The "I am an entrepreneur?" Questionnaire formulated by Demac (1990) was used as an instrument for data collection, based on the profile of 1,500 entrepreneurs. The questionnaire was applied with the students in person, with 26 questions to indicate, and the answers were punctuated according to a specific table, where the individuals that do not reach 155 points are considered "without an entrepreneurial profile". The sample comprised one hundred and forty-six respondents. The results show that there was no reduction of scores in any of the entrepreneur profiles, when the newcomers and the graduates were compared: the "incipient entrepreneur" profile, whose group is characterized by people who need training to succeed, went from 13% The "potential entrepreneur" profile, whose group is characterized by people who have skills but have not yet thought of starting a company, have gone from 4% to 8% the graduates, and the profile " Latent entrepreneur, "whose group is characterized by people who are willing to start a company, have gone from 1% to 2% to the graduates. The results show that in both groups no students with a high entrepreneurial profile were identified. Note the importance of insertion or improvement of entrepreneurship studies in the university.
