AppCATU: aplicativo educacional de conhecimentos atuariais

With the advance of technology in recent years, technological tools have greatly helped several areas of education, allowing an all involved are increasingly "connected". Within this context, this work aims to create an application for Android platform called AppCATU, which can be used in mobile phones and tablelts and can perform the calculations of annuities and help the user in the interpretation of the calculation with a simple and practice interface. Therefore, the system was developed with the Java programming language and the database used the SQLite, the comunication between the database and the application was made using the JDBC API for SQLite. Operation and performance tests were performed to ensure that the project achieved its goals achieved its objectives. Finally, can say that the application had a good acceptance rate among users and the use of a technological tool can help students in the classroom and also help teachers, thus making the AppCATU a new tool to aid in and out of the classroom.
