Balanced scorecard como uma ferramenta estratégica para gestão e planejamento em corretoras de seguros na cidade de João Pessoa

The present study is destined to identify what type of strategic planning used in insurance brokers and whether or not they use the Balanced Scorecard tool in their management and planning. The research is characterized in a descriptive way and as for the methodological procedures a case study was carried out with insurance brokers located in the city of João Pessoa in Paraíba. The study was carried out through telephone contacts with the brokerage firms and the application of a questionnaire by electronic means. The questionnaire was divided into two stages, the first one was about the profile of the companies and the second was about strategic planning. Regarding the results, the study concluded that insurance brokers mostly do not care about strategic management, but they often follow the entire organizational system of the company, as well as care about the quality of the service provided, thus seeking to be more agile both in assistance in the monitoring of insured persons in the period of insurance contracts.
