Educação em direitos humanos na formação de docentes: da universidade à prática pedagógica

This study is the result of questioning, reflection and discussion on Education in Human Rights both in the university - with the formation of graduates - and in school in critical and reflective training of students in Brazil. We have seen in recent years, an evolution in our legislation with the creation of documents that ensure quality education, fair and equitable, as well as more active participation of socio-cultural groups "less influential" in society. However, the discourse and effective implementation of education is still far from a satisfactory practice, a reality that shows cruel to most of the population, where the notion of human rights is understood wrongly, and the formation of teachers and students in Education in / for Human rights is still restrict. To collect data, we used a questionnaire containing seven questions, which after being posted on a social network (Facebook) was answered by only four teachers. The results showed that the degree courses of the UFPB are not forming their teachers to address the problems that arise related to prejudice, discrimination, racism, religious intolerance, homophobia, and all those inherent in the school routine , once they not offer in their curriculums no discipline focused on the issue of human rights, allowing each teacher to go search for an additional training that enable them to face the conflicting issues that arise in the classroom, and turn the, into multipliers of a culture of peace, common sense and respect for human dignity, significantly reducing cases of human rights violation.
