OBSTRUÇÃO ESOFÁGICA EM EQUINO RELATO DE CASO

The present work describes a clinical case of an equine with an obstruction in the esophagus in the cervical portion, first attended to the field and later sent to the Veterinary Hospital at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), Campus Areia. The clinical characteristics were of esophageal obstruction, which was confirmed after maneuvers done with nasogastric tube. The study used the treatment methods used in the literature, its evolution and possible expected results. The objective of this study was to report this disease, which is quite common in the equestrian environment, aiming at prophylaxis and itstreatments.
