It aims to identify and present the practices developed in the school library, with the object of study the library of the School Aruanda, located in the neighborhood of Bank in the city of João Pessoa, study subjects whose were his students. The research is exploratory, using the direct method, with quantitative and qualitative approach, through the questionnaire method. The analysis and results of information collected are illustrated by tables and charts. Based on the results obtained understand that the school library has some deficiencies related to the collection, physical, technological and human resources composition, notably the lack of librarians.
