O serviço referência na visão dos usuários: um estudo de caso nas bibliotecas da Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB)

This work shows some considerations about usability of Serviço de Referência (Reference Service) of Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB). Concerning the users, it verifies which libraries are frequented, the knowledge of them about the reference service and the understanding about the reference librarian. As research method was used survey. The research is bibliographic and perform field research to fulfill their aims. The data shows that the most frequented is the Biblioteca Central (Central Library) and half of users do not know the reference service. In conclusion, the reference service has some obstacles when is related to library users, given that most of them do now know about the dynamics of this kind of service. It is also identified the lack of reference librarian in some libraries.
