The methodology used was qualitative in that it presented characteristics that helped to obtain the data, in addition to the semi-structured interview, participant observation and documentary analysis. And for a more accurate interpretation of the context investigated we used the case study. 19 students from Cycles I and II participated in this research. For a better understanding of our theoretical axes we use authors such as: Machado (2006), Amorim (2013), Lopes (2000), Eitere; Reis, (2009), Paiva (2003), Menezes Almeida (2009) and Veiga (2003). At the end of our research, it was possible to verify that the students are aware of the importance of being able to read and write, and especially that they became aware of this because they were exposed to various obstacles and constraints throughout their lives because they were illiterate, where this directly affected the self-esteem of Themselves. We realize that these individuals when looking for the EJA come with a great thirst for knowledge that unfortunately does not match the expectation, thus discouraging them to continue in school life. Without neglecting the importance for these students to enter / return to school by creating new circles of friends, working directly or indirectly in their self-esteem.","abstract_html":"This research tries to understand the contributions that the process of schooling of students of the Education of young people and adults has provided for their daily life, with specific objectives: To analyze how the students of Youth Education and adults use in their daily life The knowledge acquired in the schooling process; Identify and analyze the profile of students in youth and adult education and what they expect from the school and the knowledge they have worked on; Identify and analyze the main difficulties presented by students of Youth and Adult Education in their daily life due to non-learning in their schooling process.
