AVALIAÇÃO DAS AFECÇÕES ODONTOLÓGICAS EM EQUÍDEOS ATENDIDOS NO HOSPITAL VETERINÁRIO DA UFPB.

The aim of this work was evaluate the presence of dental alterations in equidae treated in the UFPB's veterinary hospital, where eighteen animals were random selected and after anamnesis and dental evaluation were submitted to a corrective dental treatment. 55,5 % of these animals were females and 44,5% were males. About their age, 38,9% had less than five years old , 33,3 % had between six and eleven years old , 22,2% were above ten years old and 5,6% had no age informed . It was observed that the most part of the animals never did dental treatment ever before and 100% of them have presented excessive tooth enamel tips, in addition to other changes. These informations made us conclude that all animals needs veterinary monitoring for periodic dental treatments.
