EXISTÊNCIA DA ALÇA DE HENLE EM CHELONOIDES DENTICULATUS E EFEITOS DA FUROSEMIDA EM CHELONOIDES DENTICULATUS (Linnaeus, 1766) E CHELONOIDES CARBONARIUS (Spix, 1824)

The objective of this work was to analyze the nephron of the jabuti Chelonoides denticulatus and to verify the existence of the Henle loop in the kidney of this species, besides, to test the action of the diuretic furosemide in the jabutis Chelonoides denticulatus and Chelonoides carbonarius, since the presence of this structure generates Subsidies for the use of drugs that act on it. For histology, renal fragments of C.denticulatus were collected and microtomy with a thickness of 5 μm with hematoxylin-eosin staining. Furosemide was administered in twelve different sizes, ages and sex, of which six were C. carbonarius and six were C. denticulatus. The time at which these animals urinated was observed and recorded. The results obtained demonstrate the presence of the Henle loop in the C. denticulatus jabuti and the positive effect of the diuretic furosemide on the jabuti of the C. carbonarius species.
