Mercado de trabalho contábil: uma análise da perspectiva dos alunos de Ciências Contábeis em relação aos requisitos exigidos pelos escritórios de contabilidade

The research aimed to highlight the similarities between the requirements of the accounting offices and the perspectives of the graduating students of the Course of Accounting Sciences of the UFPB. To meet the research objective, semi-structured questionnaires were applied to the offices and then to the students. The collected data were inserted in electronic spreadsheets and transformed into tables. Based on the results, the study concluded that, with regard to the knowledge requirements of the area, there was a 50% alignment of the answers of the offices with the vision of the students (Elaboration of the accounting statements and knowledge in computer science). Regarding the professional characteristics, the result represented 40% of the answers (teamwork and commitment). The results are in line with the research of Leal, Soares and Souza (2009) that show characteristics common to the profile of the accounting professional desired by the employers and the profile indicated by the graduates of Accounting Sciences, presenting some divergences in skills and abilities. Thus, a greater integration between the students and the labor market is suggested through lectures, workshops, mini-courses, among others, so that there can be an improvement in the relationship between the market and the professionals who will work in it.
