Preservação e conservação na Seção de Braille da Biblioteca Central da Universidade Federal da Paraíba

Aims to analyze the study of the preservation and conservation of the Braille section of Federal University of Paraiba. It’s a descriptive research and exploraty, with a qualitative approach to data analyses. Was used as a tool for data collection a structured interview. The sample consists of three librarians who work in the surveyed sector. The data show that respondents consider important the process of preservation and conservation in the library Braille sector, and encourage the employees, as alternative to alleviate the problems relating to conservation of the collection. It is concluded that procedures that procedures related to preservation and conservation of documents must be deployed and put into practice in the library, specially where are specialty materials, such as Braille, sector which record and consequently, upward movement of the acquis.
