O Estágio no curso de Ciências Contábeis: a percepção dos discentes da Universidade Federal da Paraíba na sua formação acadêmica e profisisonal

The preparation of students through accounting practices plays a fundamental role in the insertion of these young people in the new and demanding labor market, and one of the ways to obtain this knowledge is through the practice of the internship. In view of this context, the present study had as general objective to investigate the perception of students of accounting sciences about the contribution of the internship in their professional and academic formation at the Federal University of Paraíba. To reach the objective, a descriptive and quantitative research was used, as well as data collection through questionnaires applied in the classroom. According to the results, it was found that the internship, although very restricted to students in an advanced state of the course, affects the formation of the students' competences and abilities, and changes their view regarding accounting and what area they wish to follow after Course. Therefore, it is concluded that although the internship is not a practice so encouraged in the academic field, it provides significant changes for the student, preparing this future professional to act in the labor market.
