TUBERCULOSE EM BOVINOS NO SERTÃO PARAIBANO NO PÉRIODO DE 2006 A 2015
Abstract
dc:description.abstractBovine tuberculosis is a global zoonosis that causes concern in the Health and Inspection Bodies diagnosed by the tuberculinization test. This study aims to show the frequency of tuberculosis in the Meso-region Sertão Paraibano, from January 2006 to December 2015. The data were provided by the State Secretariat for the Development of Agriculture and Fisheries of Paraíba (SEDAP). In this period, 180 positive cases were detected, with the Patos Microregion having the highest number of cases (N = 59 cases), Followed by the Microregion de Sousa (N = 34 cases) and the Microregions of Cajazeiras and Catolé do Rocha had the lowest number of positive cases (N = 4 and N = 6 cases, respectively). Despite the importance of this disease in both economic and public health aspects and the advances of the National Program for the Control and Eradication of Brucellosis and Tuberculosis (PNCEBT), Tuberculosis is still pre-sent in the Meso-region Sertão Paraibano of the state of Paraíba
