This research aims to investigate the Reference Service in Augusto dos Anjos’ Public Library, located in downtown of João Pessoa/PB city. The study sample consists of 40 (forty) members who attend the library. As data collection instruments, it was used the questionnaire, interviews and systematic observation. The research presents an exploratory descriptive in a quantitative and qualitative approach. After analyzing the data, where it discovered the difficulties and the reality of the library are presented the results and suggestions for improvement measures for the Reference Service in that library.
