This work will show the concept of bidding process, ruled by Law nº 8.666/93 of the brazilian legislation, the crimes provided in this law and the most common crimes in Brazil, as well as the prevention forms for this crimes. The methodology used was bibliographic and documental research in books, articles and websites, been a descritive research with a deductive method.
