Universidade e mercado de trabalho: desempenho histórico de formandos em ciências contábeis no exame de suficiência do CFC

The preparation to ingress at job market, normally, make part people life, especially young people. In this context, the university have a relevant function, since this represents an institution that offers to the future professionals the minimum knowledge to obtain job vacancy in the Market in which intend to act. In this sense, in some areas of professional performance, bodies responsible for regulation require compliance with a sufficiency test to enter in that Market, what happens in the area of graduated professionals in accounting sciences. Thus, the sufficiency test, now it evaluates the capacity of the university egress in the sense of being accepted in the labor Market, serves at the same time, as a kind of attestation of the quality of training obtained by the university. This objective was to measure the historical performance of students graduated in accounting sciences offered by UFPB, when the realization of the Sufficiency Examination applied by Federal Accounting Firm, in comparison to the average performance of all Bachelors in Accounting Sciences who take that exam. The research carried out was descriptive in nature and made use of descriptive statistics to show their findings. The main outcome measured is that student’s graduates of the Accounting Sciences of UFPB present a percentage superior to the means of the national segments, regional and local, in which refers to approval in the Sufficiency Examination, which constitutes an indication of the quality of that course and there were also observed drop-off rates in specific periods.
