A atividade lúdica: contribuições para a educação das crianças com Síndrome de Down

The research addresses the play, and their contributions to children with Down syndrome. Down syndrome included in this group of intellectual disabilities, the individual with Down syndrome have an extra chromosome in each of its millions of cells, instead of 46, he has 47 chromosomes. It is one of the most common birth defects, performing in all races, ethnic groups, socioeconomic classes and nationalities. Emphasizing the importance of playfulness in education, we depart to the assumption that play is the child's main activity is what she likes to do in childhood. The idea of the game's relationship with learning is not new in the history of education, but nowadays it is more accepted and published. Every child has the right to education and disabled children also have these rights guaranteed as to its integrity at school. In schools teaching methods are taught, is the teacher who plays the knowledge transmitter function, the play activity is presented as a methodology that brings numerous benefits especially for children with disabilities getting a minimum gain that is the interaction that it provides. Learning occurs by cognitive processes, so that the child with Down syndrome look stimulate these processes constantly. For this to happen the educational psychopedagogists develops strategies and pedagogue puts them into practice in the classroom, the Psychopedagogical contributions to occur the individual must be properly inserted in school. The results showed that this issue has been addressed significantly over the past few years, however, there have been difficulties in finding recent articles dealing with the same. I conclude that the construction of this research brought to my knowledge new perspectives on the importance of playfulness and their contributions to the learning of children with Down syndrome.
