This work aims to analyze the potential and the difficulties found by reading mediators in relation to teaching materials of EJA in the county of Conde-PB. The research, based on qualitative purpose, was composed by a questionnaire that had objective and subjective questions, given to teachers working in the 1st and 2nd stages of EJA in the county of Conde, in which they could appreciate the content of the teaching materials. Analyzing the results, it was observed that the main teaching material used is the textbook offered by the government, which was rated satisfactory by teachers because it meets the expected objectives and can be used for reading mediators of EJA, to add itself to other materials in order to stimulate awareness of citizenship.
