As condições de trabalho e a qualidade de vida profissional: um estudo exploratório com docentes

The teacher's quality of life and working conditions can be conceived as important requirements to ensure greater satisfaction and productivity in the teacher's work. The recent researches about this subject are unanimous in declaring about the suffering that affects teachers because of their precarious employment situations and consequently devaluations. Thus, the present study, The working conditions and the quality of working life: an exploratory study with teachers, aimed to draw down on the teachers' working conditions and quality of working life, evaluating about security, autonomy and remuneration, checking the balance between work and their personal life, so as to understand the scenario on which the teacher is inserted, contributing to a broader view of this professional education, which is the specialist who works directly in the formation and construction of the citizens of a society . The research included 25 teachers from a public school in the city of Boa Ventura-PB. The material used for the collection of data was a survey questionnaire on sociodemographic characteristics, information about the working day, structural conditions and working materials and factors as quality of life. The set of results of this study indicated that the working conditions and the quality of life of the interviewed teachers were described as reasonable, in majority of cases. However, they are very satisfied with their profession, having balance between service and personal life. These results show that although educators in adverse professional situations, they can perform their duties and feel balance and satisfaction in their profession.
