Qualidade dos serviços de saúde: uma análise das Unidades Básicas de Saúde em municípios paraibanos de pequeno porte com base na avaliação externa do 1º ciclo PMAQ-AB

The Primary Care is the gateway to individual and collective health services as prevention, promotion and diagnosis through the Basic Health Units (UBS), installed next to the population, ensuring health access with quality. So this work arose with the question of how are the working conditions of the units, aiming to analyze the UBS of 08 small portage cities I of the 04 mesoregions of the state of Paraiba based in the microdata from 1st External Evaluation Cycle of National Program of Improving Access and Quality of Primary Care (PMAQ-AB) in 2012, in aim to diagnose and describe the conditions of the units on infrastructure, time, physical structure, material and human resources, supplies, diagnostic tests and immunobiologicals. It was accomplished one quantitative and qualitative study of descriptive and exploratory type, with documentary and bibliographical research design, whose data were analyzed descriptively through absolute values and respectivos percentuais. The results showed absences as presences of deficiencies and potentialies in structural conditions in more than 50% of UBS. It was concluded that even with changes and advances in health, there are still weaknesses in the units with respect to accessibility to people with special needs and elderly, infrastructure, information technology equipment, diagnostic tests and amounts of professionals, fact that proves to be necessary always maintain control, evaluation and improvement of the management units, identifying problems for to provide more appropriate places of attendances with good health services, good working conditions and quality to users and health professionals.
