Do chão ao atabaque: uma introdução aos ritos da Jurema

This Work of Conclusion of Course has as objective show from symbolic elements continuity of invented tradition in the rites of the Sacred Jurema in a terrace of the paraibana capital. Our specific aims will search to contextualizar the Jurema historically while religion, to describe and to characterize its rites collected in field similar to arrive at our general aim. Based on books of pertinent authors to the subject and articles made available in you search printed demons beginning our research, that had its development in the Terrace of Umbanda Acácio Valerí from interview with the Yalorixá responsible for the place and constants visits in the days of cult the Jurema. All material collected it had its analysis in a qualitative boarding and of exploratório character. We believe that our research presents justifiable contribution to the studies on the Jurema, considerando to be a still devoid field of academic research. For a course of Degree in Sciences of the Religions it will be of great relevance, therefore previous to the work proposed in screen, only two colleagues had dedicated to its research the contexts that involve the Jurema. Entendemos despite our work can contribute in the improvement of the social relations, leaving of the presupposition of that it is only possible to respect what it is known and the Jurema still walks unknown and without being seen as religion for great part of the paraibanos, either even so outstanding its presence in our State.
