Data from this study is from 2009, obtained by the Database Health System (DATASUL). It was applied using a border stochastic method in which literature is used to check the technical inefficiency of a production unit. This mathematical method uses variable inputs and products that generate scores from zero to one. Generated values will indicate if the production unit is efficient or inefficient. The results indicated that none of the municipal offices is on the production frontier. In other words, none of them are technically efficient. The study also showed that only João Pessoa and Campina Grande comply with international standards of health, one doctor per 1,000 inhabitants.","abstract_html":"This study is aimed to evaluate the technical efficiency of SUS in the state of Paraíba, through municipal offices of the Regional Offices of Health, in order to verify what counties are being efficient with utilization of its resources.
