Terapia ocupacional e suas práticas em saúde na atenção básica: o itinerário de uma disciplina de graduação
Abstract
dc:description.abstractOccupational therapy works on promotion, prevention, treatment and recovery of health at different levels of complexity. This paper aims to describe and discuss the experiences in a discipline the course of Occupational Therapy whose practical scenario is the Basic Health Care, highlighting the group interventions and home visits. The experience took place in the second half of 2013, and the activities were carried out through the combination of theoretical and practical discipline and existing demands of the territory's population. Because of this, there were intervention methods that produced actions aimed at expanding the network of attention to mental health, social interaction institutionalized elderly and health promotion for health care providers. Home visits were carried out aiming to promote qualified hearing and health guidance, as well as group activities. From experience it was possible to carry the knowledge gained in the classroom to the community and expand the actions of the health service, reaching existing demands in the area. The action on the basis of territory provided active case finding, identifying the main health needs, development of prevention, promotion and rehabilitation in the community and in health services, integrating the user to a multidisciplinary team. It was noted necessary to the performance of the Occupational Therapist at this level of health care.
