Políticas públicas para as mulheres: estudo sobre o Plano Municipal de Políticas Públicas para as Mulheres (2013 - 2016)

At present, Public Policies are increasingly directed to various discourses in society, covering all classes and genres. As far as women are concerned, public policies have come to protect us and liberate us from a Brazilian macho culture, where, for the simple fact that we are "women", we are discriminated against in many everyday situations. In Brazil, in 2013, the National Policy Plan for Women (2013-2015) was launched and, in the same year, in the municipality of João Pessoa / Paraíba, the Municipal Policy Plan for Women was also launched through the Extraordinary Secretariat for Public Policies for Women based on the guidelines of the National Plan. This monograph aimed to analyze the content of the Municipal Plan of Policies for Women in the municipality of João Pessoa and its implementation between 2013 and 2016. As methodological procedures, we started with a literature study on the subject, research and analysis of official documents and the Conducting interviews with the public managers responsible for the area in the municipal government. To this extent, the work assumes a descriptive and exploratory configuration on the theme and has as an empirical object the public policies for the women implemented in João Pessoa.
