Programa de Apoio o Estudante com Deficiência - PAED na UFPB para educação inclusiva de alunos com deficiênia

The Program of Support to the Deficient Student - PAED of the UFPB for inclusive education of students with disabilities was initially carried out through a historical research on Brazilian higher education, followed by Special and Inclusive Education and the inclusion programs that support the disabled in the In order to present it as part of the policy of inclusive education aimed at students with disabilities of the UFPB, in addition to identifying the types of disability attended by the Program with students with disabilities and describing the design Of the PAED. This work was developed through bibliographical and documentary research, as well as a field research, conducted in the form of an interview with the coordinator of the Inclusion and Accessibility Committee - CIA, responsible for the program; She reports that the university respects, in part, the conditions of inclusion to receive a disabled student, as well as some contributions that the program has brought to the educational environment of the UFPB, such as the dissemination of an inclusive culture, pedagogical mediation, locomotion And communication skills for the student with a disability. The Program has limitations, in terms of data availability and access to its participants, besides not having great recognition in its institutional environment, making it necessary to develop studies with this theme, to present the support programs To the population concerned and to have a continuous evaluation in their management and contributions to society in general.
