The research was developed in the city of Campina Grande - PB at school Centro de Preparação Educacional Positivo – CPEP, using a sample of twenty eighth-graders of basic school. As to methodology, the work was characterized by a qualitative research as exploratory using it for student reports on the subject addressed by using this software. In this sense, it was necessary to help the workshop held in the laboratory. For the implementation of the workshop, the content was taught about how to classify triangles on the sides and angles (equilateral, isosceles, scalene). Thus, the research developed through access to computers located in the school, using the software Wingeom and lectures over a period of about a month. At the end of this period, we applied a survey from which we extract a diagnosis on the results of our practice. The students were very excited and curious about the program used and 95% of students said they were satisfied and better assimilate the content in question. The remaining 5% had no domain of computer and felt a little difficulty in its implementation, but said they liked the first contact with the program. Students were able to link the sides and angles of triangles giving their respective characteristics and associating their learning in their day to day. Were sensitive to the fact that the introduction of computer technology resources, such as software Wingeom, may provide a means of enriching, more certain that concrete materials, due to the easy and dynamic manipulation of objects and increased student interaction with content.","abstract_html":"We reviewed, at this work, a means to facilitate student learning, specifically through the use of free software Wingeom in geometry.
