O impacto dos transtornos de ansiedade na saúde dos trabalhadores da polícia militar

dc:description.abstractThe military police officer is constantly subjected to physical and emotional conflicts during his professional practice, which can compromise his quality of life, health, physical and psychological well-being. By the nature of the profession, often as consequences of conflicts are evidenced at times when the police officer is not on duty, and may impair as social interactions, such as daily activities, leisure and all spheres in which this subject is inserted. Despite these factors, little attention is given to the occupational risks of this profession. In view of this, this study aimed to give greater importance to the health of the Military Police, from a mental health perspective, aiming to evaluate the perception about your physical and mental conditions for the exercise of their office and to identify or not a presence of Anxiety Disorders. This is a descriptive, quantitative and qualitative study carried out with the rules of the Tactical Ostensive Motorcycle Rounds (ROTAM) of the 1st BPM of the city of João Pessoa-PB. The research sample consisted of (n = 21) military personnel, 20 males and 1 females, aged between 31 and 36 years old (33.33%). The instruments used in the data collection were: The Beck Anxiety Inventory, The Work Capacity Index and a socioeconomic questionnaire structured by the researcher. The instruments were identified and answered by the participants in a self-administered way. 61.93% of the participants had their capacity evaluated as good / optimal, as well as high levels of anxiety indicators were not found, where 42.86% presented minimal levels and 47.62% of the participants presented mild levels of anxiety.
