O que é ser mulher? o sentido acerca do gênero feminino para mulheres sertanejas em uma perspectiva intergeracional

The present research focused on the theme of the sense of being a woman and of gender inequality. From the understanding of women and their understanding of the feminine gender from an intergenerational perspective, in the context of the northeastern backlands. Its main objective was to understand the conception and the understanding of sertanejas women about the construction of the feminine gender in an intergenerational perspective. Making it possible to identify possible gender oppressions in the daily life of women and to understand the perception of women in different age groups (adolescents, adults and elderly). The research whose methodological approach configures itself as qualitative was concerned with the universe of meanings and with the understanding of questions of the reality and the subjectivity of these women. As a methodological procedure for the development of field research, a semi-structured interview was used as a data collection instrument. Thus, six women from the city of Conceição, in Paraíba, were interviewed, who were included in the Service of Coexistence and Strengthening of Links. The data were analyzed according to the theoretical and methodological references of sociology, from the perspective of gender and intergeneration seeking reflections from categories for data analysis. Based on critiques, reflections and experiences of the participants, which were: two adolescents, two adults and two elderly women, all living in the Sertão of Paraíba, the results demonstrate conceptions about the roles they play, women in contemporary society, the capillarity of women's struggles and Denounce the inequalities and violence experienced by women. It is necessary to create listening spaces that discuss and reflect racial, regional, class and gender issues. As well as, coping strategies and overcoming violence against women.
