Qualidade de vida na psoríase: o olhar da terapia ocupacional através da vivência na graduação

Psoriasis is a chronic, stigmatized disease that besides clinical limitations and comorbidities promotes a negative impact on quality of life and consequently in different areas of human occupation activities of daily living; instrumental activities of daily living; rest and sleep; education; work; mock up; leisure; and social participation. From this perspective there is a need occupational therapy acting in this context, producing a holistic look, looking beyond the individual pathology, analyzing the specific needs and thus provide a service geared to the needs of people affected by psoriasis, thus favoring quality of life, health and welfare. This study aims to report on the experience they had at the Reference Center for Psoriasis Paraíba, to apply the DLQI (Index of Quality of Life in Dermatology) in assessing the quality of life. The work is in a descriptive study with qualitative approach. The researcher makes the narrative about the moments of evaluation of quality of life through the questionnaire, detailing their experience lived in the curriculum subject of practical scenario in the hospital, occurred in the first half of 2013 at the University Hospital Lauro Wanderley .The development of this work, fosters reflections and points of intervention possibilities of occupational therapy in psoriasis, as well as the development of research in this field of activity, since there is scarcity on this topic.
