In this context, occupational therapy has intervention strategies that can contribute to the health of the newborn. Therefore, this study aims to study the health-care care line of the newborn and the possible contributions of occupational therapy in the implementation of this line. For this, a literature search from documents was performed, booklets, scientific articles, books and manuals on the attention of the care line newborn health, and about the possibilities of intervention of occupational therapists in the newborn health and pregnant women. Research has shown that care line runs through various health services at different levels of care, and encompasses both the health of the mother and the newborn. Occupational therapy can make interventions at different levels of attention to target pregnant women, newborns and the mother-infant dyad. The procedures most often cited in the literature were: actions in the community with development groups and workshops for pregnant women and home visits to the newborn and postpartum women; in media and high complexity through risk newborns monitoring, and monitoring the mother-infant dyad in pregnant homes. However, it was observed that the attention of the Occupational Therapy seeks the welfare of pregnant women, the formation of the bond between mother and child, and the promotion of child development from the work facing the determinants of global development and neuropsychomotor stimulation.","abstract_html":"Health care of the newborn (NB) consists of actions that should start during intrauterine life, focusing on the health of pregnant women without interruption after birth to 28 days, and includes health promotion procedures, prevention and treatment of disease.
