Impacto da densidade nutricional sobre o desempenho de poedeiras leves
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe objective of study was evaluate the effect of the nutritional density on the performance of lightweight laying hens from 25 to 45 weeks of age. Therefore, 280 laying hens from the Hy-Line W-36 strain, were distributed in a completely randomized design with five treatments and seven replicates of eight birds. Treatments consisted of different nutritional densities, varying from -10 up to +10% of the requirements recommended by the strain. The nutrients that had varying levels were the crude protein, digestible amino acids (methionine + cystine, lysine and threonine), calcium, available phosphorus and metabolizable energy. The nutritional density affected the feed intake linearly and decreasing (P <0.0001). Egg production (P <0.0001), egg mass (P <0.0001) and conversions by mass (P <0.0001) and per dozen (P <0.0001) were influenced in a quadratic manner. It is concluded that the nutritional density of 96% of the recommendation of the strain is sufficient to promote the maximum performance of the birds, corresponding to an intake of 16.3% crude protein, 2,780 kcal/kg metabolizable energy, 0.69% digestible methionine+cystine, 0.82% digestible lysine, 0.57% digestible threonine, 4.23% calcium, and 0.49% phosphorus available.
