Adensamento nutricional em dietas para frangas leves
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis study aimed to evaluate different concentrations of nutrients in order to identify the best food program, which would improve the performance and the production of laying hens, in the initial phase of breeding. The experiment was carried out in the poultry sector of the Animal Science Department of the Agricultural Sciences Center of the Federal University of Paraíba, Campus II, in the city of Areia, in the region of Brejo do Paraíba. A total of 455 day-old Hy-line broods were used, distributed in 35 plots with five treatments and seven replicates of 13 birds each, in a completely randomized design (DIC). The data were submitted to analysis of variance, using the program Statistical Analysis System - SAS (2011), by polynomial regression analysis. The treatments were constituted by five diets with variation in nutrient density (90%, 95%, 0, 105% and 110%). The diets were formulated to meet the nutritional requirements of the birds, within each breeding phase, following the recommendations of the Hy-line (2015) manual. There was a linear decreasing effect on feed intake in birds from 1 to 6 weeks of age (P <0.001). The treatment with a 110% increase in nutrient densities was the one that presented the lowest feed consumption. The 105% increase in nutrient densities for laying hens in the 1 to 6 week phase increases the weight gain and consequently improvement in feed conversion when compared to the 110% increase in density. The reduction of nutritional density left the diets nutritionally deficient. Therefore, an increase in nutrient densification recommended by the handbook at 105% is suggested for light laying hens at 1 to 6 weeks of age.
