In order to evaluate the potential the biomass of sugarcane-energy in power generation were analyzed four plant samples: cane-energy bagasse, sugarcane bagasse, cane-energy straw and eucalyptus, checking behaviors endothermic, exothermic, characterization of loss of mass and heating value of each of the samples in the temperature range of 25-900 ° C (divided into four intervals). The samples were subjected to pretreatment consisting in chipping, followed by washing, drying and homogenization at 105 ° C for 24 hours. Later thermal analyzes were performed, curves Thermogravimetric/Differential thermal analysis (TG / DTA) obtained in a Thermal Analyzer. The Superior Calorific Value (PCS) was obtained according to NBR 11956, using bomb calorimeter in the dynamic mode. For all samples, the ignition energy was 17cal and the equipment was calibrated with standard Benzoic Acid. After the analysis found that the calorific value of energy cane is similar to bagasse from sugarcane and eucalyptus; the calorific value of the cane straw energy was higher than the other samples; straw cane energy and eucalyptus lose mass at lower temperatures; sugarcane bagasse energy and sugarcane lose mass at higher temperatures compared to other samples.","abstract_html":"Sugarcane is an important crop for economic development of Brazil, once it represents an ethanol and sugar source, as well as the biomass residue (bagasse) that is used for electric energy production.
