The objective of this study is to identify the level of change in foreign policy that occurred in the measures adopted towards the Afghanistan and Pakistan region during the Obama administration. Through a qualitative approach, will be shown the measures of United States’s foreign policy for the Middle East adopted in the Bush administration and in the Obama administration and using the Hermann’s model of change in foreign policy, will be shown as well the relationship between the primary agents of change in decision-making process and its influence on the level of change in foreign policy.
