Enriquecimento de animosidades: o início da política nuclear brasileira.
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis work aims to analyze the beginning of Brazilian nuclear policy through the decision-making processes that comprised the bilateral atomic agreements between Brazil and the United States, culminating in the decision for establishment of CPI Atomic Energy. We will also consider the impacts of this latest decision in Brazilian foreign policy. The corresponding period covers from the 1940s, when it began the first studies in Brazil on nuclear physics, by the end of the 1950s, the end of the Kubitschek government. For his purpose, we use as a source of research, in addition to the existing literature in books and articles, primary documentation collected at the Itamaraty Historical Archive, the National Achives (NARA) and Center for Research and Documentation of Contemporary History of Brazil (CPDOC). As the chosen method, we will analysis by Foreign Policy Analysis, through the theoretical model proposed by Margaret Hermann (2001).
