In addition to the contributive increase, it was verified during this period the deepening of relations between Brazil and that organ of the UN System, which resulted, among other things, in the possibility that Brazilian programmes aimed at promoting food security and nutrition were replicated internationally. All this shift happened after approval by the WFP Executive Board in 2004 of the document New Partnerships to Meet Rising Needs: Expanding the WFP donor base (NPMRN). This document consolidated a manifest debate in the WFP since the late nineties, on the need to expand the organ donor base from the engagement of emerging donors.
