The origins of Taliban are controversial and to understand them an analysis of Afghan history is required, that is a domination tangled and intertwined by periods of great influence of the dominant powers. The period of the Soviet invasion and the implications left by this, will be emphasized, since that time was largely responsible for the first appearances of the Taliban.
