Considering this, the presente study aims to identify in the pedagogical practice of the deaf professionals, literacy models used for them and their possibilities in the process of L2 acquisition. Thus, this research uses qualitative research with explanatory and exploratory approach conducted with a sample of 7 (seven) individuals that presentes deaf literacy imbricated to their professional practices. Through the analysis of the questionnaires technique, the study points as main themes the categories related to the professional profile of the subjects of the sample; on their knowledge about literacy in Portuguese and, finally, data relating to the conceptual and methodological notes on deaf literacy. Considerando isto, este estudo objetiva identificar na prática pedagógica de profissionais alfabetizadores de surdos, os modelos de alfabetização utilizados e suas possibilidades no processo de aquisição de L2. Sendo assim, esta investigação utiliza-se da pesquisa de natureza qualitativa com caráter explicativo e exploratório realizada junto a uma amostra de 7 (sete) indivíduos que apresentam a alfabetização de surdos imbricada às suas práticas profissionais. Valendo-se da técnica de análise dos questionários, o estudo aponta como temáticas principais as categorias relacionadas ao perfil profissional dos sujeitos da amostra; sobre seus conhecimentos acerca da alfabetização em Língua Portuguesa e, por fim, dados relacionados a apontamentos conceptuais e metodológicos na alfabetização de surdos.
