Avaliação de treinamento: um estudo de caso na Unidas/Mercedes Benz, em João Pessoa-PB

This case study aimed to identify the training results of evaluation methods adopted by the Unidas Mercedes Benz, located in the city of João Pessoa, PB. So, it was intended through this research to gather information about how the company conducts the evaluation of the results of training, and the entire training process: steps, resources, people involved, among others. Thus, consisting of empirical study with survey and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data. The sample consisted of twenty (20) employees at Unidas/Mercedes/Benz, and the organization's training coordinator. Data collection was performed through two instruments: the first refers to a questionnaire prepared by the researcher about information on the training employees underwent in the organization, associated with the socio-demographic questionnaire to characterize the sample. The structured interview, on the other hand, was conducted with the training coordinator in order to verify the methods of evaluation of training results in the company. The results obtained in this study demonstrated that the company is still developing a results-measurement model to be deployed in 2015, in order to evaluate more effectively the results of the training. With regard to the training process, the results showed that the company adopts a training policy involving the raised training needs, training history per employee, among other factors. Therefore, the study concludes that the evaluation of training results of Unidas / Mercedes Benz still is in development requiring improvement to a better use of conducted trainings. However, it was evaluated that the study objectives were successfully met, considering the results alluded to offer suggestions for improvements to the company studied.
