Materiais Manipulativos: uma reflexão acerca desse recurso didático na aprendizagem de Geometria no Ensino Fundamental
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis study presented a reflection on the use of manipulatives as a resource for teaching geometry. Research results conducted in mathematics education area has revealed important issues about the process of teaching and learning that deserve to be discussed within the primary school. Geometry was the focus of extensive discussions thus dealt with the question of its absence in room aula.Na can attempt to change this situation and seek the development of teaching and learning geometry are new proposals and resources seen as an alternative to check quality and dynamism to the teaching of geometry. Fact that aroused the concern of educators and researchers to understand the indifference to the act of teaching and learning. One of the trends that has gained prominence in education is the use of manipulatives as a teaching resource to teach mathematics. The aim of this study was to analyze the use of manipulatives as a teaching resource for teaching geometry. This discussion was the result of a literature of authors of major construction works in education dealing with mathematics and its teaching, as Pavanello (1993), Lorenzato (1995), Fainguelernt (1999), Passos (1996), and Rêgo Silva (2012) Usiskin (1994), Dante (2005), Nacarato (1995) and Pais (2000). Through the reports of various authors from the research showed that the use of manipulatives can be a very rich tool that can bring many opportunities and contributions to improving the teaching of geometry and mathematics in general.
