Cabaceiras: uma análise dos aspectos físicos e do uso da terra como fatores agravantes da Desertificação.

This work makes an analysis of desertification at the city of Cabaceiras, located at the cariri of Paraiba through so a historical survey of the use and occupation of the land since the colonial Brazil up to nowadays, as for an analysis of phytosociological dates through of transects in certain areas in advanced process of desertification. The aim of the paper has as general guiding principle is apply the survey methodology of vegetation and observe the relationship with the desertification process in the municipality of Cabaceiras / PB, and being more specific perform survey of vegetation for recognition of their diversity, in line with the soil characteristics and the land use based on the use of a new proposal for the biogeographical method proposed by Cámara (2004) and Cámara and Diaz del Olmo (2004) so as to identify and analyze how was the process of occupation and settlement of the area to be studied and their relation to desertification. The method used to obtain the phytosociological dates was called Line Transect Method for Phanerophytes and Camephytes (LTMPC) proposed by Cámara (2004) and Cámara and Diaz del Olmo (2004). A historical survey of the settlement and land use in the municipality of Cabaceiras was made through the analysis of specialized literature previously chosen. According to the results obtained in all surveys what can be seen is that the main and most likely reason that triggered the desertification process in Cabaceiras municipality was the inappropriate use of land linked with the edafoclimate and geomorphological conditions found in the locus of the research presented here. Thus it can be concluded that the process of desertification has not only a cause but a variety of factors that when studied in their genesis have become extremely correlated, leading to degradation studied here.
