Therefore, we use the empirical research with qualitative approach, which is also configured as literature, for use thematic concepts to form conceptual bridges for this study, in addition to the Case Study, accompanied by targeted educational interventions to build the autonomy of the subject and family involvement in this regard. As research instruments we use the Field Journal, the Structured Interview (with the parents of our research subject), and the semi structured interview (with the researched subject himself). Results revealed firstly, that our object of study - identified herein as \" Camila \" -, single, female, 36, was totally dependent on parents, especially ADL, and second, that their parents encouraged their condition of dependency and did not identify their potential. After our pedagogical interventions in \"Camila\", and also with their parents, it was found that parents were able to identify the daughter capabilities while that \"Camila\", developed autonomy ADL, when stimulated by the educator. Thus, we proved that the role of the teacher is not limited to teaching - as many believe -, goes further: it is to educate for life.","abstract_html":"This paper aims to examine the role of the teacher next to a person with cerebral palsy, to develop the autonomy of the individual, especially ADL - Activities of Daily Living.
