O processo de educação da pessoa surda nas escolas polos de João Pessoa: inclusiva, bilíngue ou excludente?
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe guarantee of deaf students education in the regular school system follows some guiding principles in addition to promoting your registration. In this process, it is expected the presence of professionals using the Brazilian Sign Language, and have knowledge of deaf education process, thus contributing to the respect for the deaf as active subjects in society. In João Pessoa / PB, is under the Polo Schools (EP), the reference to inclusion of people with disabilities that takes place the institutional education process of deaf students. Before this, work, seeks to bring an analysis of deaf education policy developed in EP of João Pessoa, so that you can verify that the educational proposal that is offered to deaf students meet the needs of the same and is according to what is provided at the national level through the main legal provisions and guidelines for the education of the deaf, such as the pound Law No. 10.436 (2002) and Decree No. 5626 (2005). Therefore, it was held visit in locus in all Polos Schools reference in deaf education, and structured interviews with managers (as), the Educational Service Specialist teachers - ESA and Pounds interpreters of those schools. Were all subjected to content analysis, seeking to answer the following question: EP of João Pessoa, meet the needs of students and deaf students? And in which deaf education models the EP can be considered: Inclusive, Bilingual or exclusive? The results revealed that the proposal developed in schools is at odds with providing the Brazilian policy for the education of the deaf, not meeting their needs.
